Report A Problem

Bylaw Compliance Services investigates bylaw violations on a complaint basis. If you want to report a bylaw violation or register a concern, follow these easy steps:

  • Report the violation online at SeeClickFix, by email to bylawenforcement@revelstoke.ca or by phone at (250) 837-4747. Please note that the quickest way to report a problem is by email, all Bylaw Officers have phones with email access on them during their shifts. 
  • Provide your full name and phone number - the City does not accept anonymous complaints. Please note that the City keeps the identity of every complainant confidential unless the complainant has agreed to be identified.
  • Provide details about the violation including the date and time you observed the violation, and any other information you think would be helpful to our investigation (e.g. locational details, description of concern, etc.).

Noise Regulation Complaints 

The Noise Bylaw functions to regulate or prohibit noises and sounds within the City of Revelstoke. A person may apply for exemption from the provisions of the Noise Bylaw regarding construction issues if it is impossible or impractical to comply. Please head to SeeClickFix if you wish to report a loud and/or disturbing noise. If this is a reoccurring problem, please complete the Noise Complaint Log and submit the file to Bylaw by email or in person at City Hall.

Parking and traffic within the City of Revelstoke is regulated by the Traffic and Highway Regulation Bylaw

Watering Use 

The Water Regulations Bylaw functions to regulate the use of water within the City of Revelstoke. Water usage restrictions are implemented to manage water demand and ensure there is sufficient water supply during summer months and more severe drought conditions. The City has a four-stage water usage restriction plan for outdoor water usage. The restrictions apply to all properties in Revelstoke that use City water - residential, commercial, industrial & institutional. 

Pesticide Use 

The Pesticide Use Bylaw functions to regulate the non-essential use of pesticides as a means of improving or maintaining the appearance of lawns, gardens, hard landscapes and vegetated lands within the City of Revelstoke.
