Bylaws, Policies & Enforcement

Bylaws, along with policies are used by planners and building inspectors in reviewing applications and ongoing projects. All bylaws, bylaws amendments and policies are thoroughly reviewed by staff and Council.

Development Services Bylaws

Every department within the City of Revelstoke has department specific bylaws which are adopted by Council in favour of the citizens of Revelstoke and the future development of the City. It is important to review Development Services bylaws prior to designing construction projects or land development projects.

Development Services Policies

Policies assist with many aspects of reviewing and guiding applications but are separate from City Bylaws. Council adopts policies to guide staff on how regulations should be administered.
