Dear Mayor Bernacki

RE; BOIL ADVISORY

I would like to express my appreciation for your cooperation in issuing a "precautionary boil advisory" following the unsatisfactory set of water samples obtained on November 2, 2001

Unfortunately, in spite of our best efforts to investigate the reasons for these anomalous results we have as yet been unable to explain them.
However we have concluded that the source of the contamination was not your waterworks, but rather some as yet unknown contaminant that occurred after the samples were taken.

We recognize that this created a difficult situation for the City of Revelstoke in light of your significant investment in state-of-the-art water treatment. We remain fully confident in the ability of both your system and your staff to provide your users with safe drinking water.

Your response in this instance demonstrated your commitment to protecting the health of your water users and the effectiveness of your emergency response plan

Once again, my thanks for your timely and appropriate response in working through this puzzling event with us.

Sincerely,

David
