1. All funding requests are to be forwarded to the Planning, Building &
Bylaw Enforcement Department unless referred directly by Council;
2. For commercial property owners, staff are to confirm:
(a) That the property is located within the City of Revelstoke; and
(b) That the property has not received funding in the
past three years;
3. For residential property
owners, staff are to confirm:
(a) That the property is located within the City of Revelstoke;
(b) That the property is included in the Heritage
Inventory Study and has
received an evaluation
grade of “D” or better; and
(c) That the property has not received funding in the
past five years;
4. All participants
are to be made aware that the intent of the program is to pursue designs
which are in keeping with the Heritage Revite theme being promoted by
the City;
5. Funding may be
granted to provide professional design assistance for building façade
upgrades, signage or for selection of historic colour schemes. No
funding is available to assist in the layout of historic gardens or
landscape areas;
6. Requests of a
speculative nature including the provision of renderings to assist in
the sale of a property are excluded;
7. Staff are to
provide Council with an annual review of the Program to ensure
sufficient funding for commercial properties is maintained;
8. Any excess funding
available for commercial properties after August 1st of each year, may
be reallocated for use by residential property owners:
