EXTRACT OF RESOLUTION:
"THAT Council adopt the following policy:
1. Applicants applying for development proposals for one or more of the
following shall be required to erect and maintain a Development
Notification Sign on the subject property:
-
Rezoning;
-
Official Community Plan Amendments;
-
Land Use Contract Amendments or Discharge;
-
Temporary Use Permits; and
-
Development Variance Permits.
2. Development Notification Signs shall be erected on the subject
property
within one week of the applicant receiving approval to proceed.
3. All key plans shall clearly indicate the development site and shall
identify
all adjacent roads adjoining the subject property.
4. Development Notification Signs shall be located where the property
abuts
an adjacent street. Where the property abuts more than one street,
the
sign shall be placed along each portion of the flanking street.
5. Development Notification Signs shall be installed approximately three
(3)
metres inside the property line to avoid interference with
pedestrian or
vehicle traffic or obstruct visibility.
6. The applicant shall confirm with Staff that a Public Notification
Sign has
been installed on site prior to the Public Hearing.
7. The applicant shall maintain the sign in good order until the sign is
required to be removed.
8. Development Notification Signs shall be removed by the applicant
within
30 days after final adoption of the applicable bylaw. For Permit
applications, signs shall be removed by the applicant within 30 days
after
issuance of the Permit.
9. For applications or Permits denied by Council, the signs shall be
removed by the applicant within 30 days after denial is received.
10. Development Notification Signs shall not be required for facade
improvements.
