August 24, 2016 - Garbage Regulation Enforcement Increased in Revelstoke
Over the past month the City of Revelstoke has stepped up its bylaw enforcement in an effort to reduce the number of human wildlife conflicts.

Bylaw enforcement in the City of Revelstoke is usually initiated by citizen complaints, however in light of the recent bear euthanizations the City has increased patrols and is proactively enforcing regulations in areas where bears have been reported.

July 28, 2016 - Council Awards Gateway Roundabout Upgrades to Local Contractor
City Council passed a resolution to award the Gateway Roundabout Upgrades Contract to local contractor Speers Construction. Construction of the roundabout on Wright Street is expected to begin in August 2016, with the remainder of the project and roundabout landscaping to be completed by summer 2017.

May 27, 2016 - Revelstoke Celebrates Tourism Week

The City of Revelstoke is joining dozens of communities, cities and regions around British Columbia to recognize National Tourism Week - May 29 to June 4.

Mayor McKee will recognize the achievements of tourism operators, employees, destination marketing organizations and other stakeholders by personally welcoming guests at the Visitor Information Centre on Monday, May 30th from 1:00-2:00pm.

Official Opening of the Revelstoke Snowmobile Welcome Centre
The City of Revelstoke, through access to the Resort Municipality Infrastructure Program funding, and in collaboration with the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District and the Columbia Basin Trust, is pleased to announce the official opening of the Revelstoke Snowmobile Welcome Centre.  The Centre is located at 4177 Westside Road in Revelstoke.

City of Revelstoke receives federal Gas Tax Fund contribution for Asset Management Planning
The City of Revelstoke, has received a contribution from the 2016 Gas Tax Strategic Priorities Fund of $32,500 for asset management planning. This Gas Tax Fund program shows a strong commitment from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia toward sustainable local government decision-making in managing infrastructure and assets.
