The City of Revelstoke is currently seeking members for the committees noted below and invite applications from interested parties. Committee members are volunteers selected for their interest, experience, knowledge, skills and ability to represent the population of the area.
Revelstoke Advisory Committee on Health Care
The purpose of the Advisory Committee on Health Care is to promote open communication and an active working partnership between the City of Revelstoke, Interior Health (IH), local organizations, and the citizens of Revelstoke to ensure the health and wellness of all residents and tourists are addressed as fully as possible.
Social Development Committee
The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and suggestions to the City of Revelstoke with respect to social development matters in the community.
Environmental Advisory Committee
The purpose of the committee is to provide the City of Revelstoke with advice and
recommendations with respect to promoting and encouraging environmental citizenship
and achieving the environmental objectives described in the Official Community Plan.
Public Art Committee
The purpose of the committee is to provide the City of Revelstoke with advice and recommendations with respect to selecting and installing public art projects in the City of Revelstoke.
Advisory Planning Commission
The purpose of the committee is to provide advice or recommendations on any matters which Council may refer to it from time to time including, but not limited to the following:
a. OCP Amendments and Rezoning Applications, b. Review of preliminary development plans, and c. Proposed Bylaw or Policy amendments.
