NEW!!! Bronze Medallion/Cross Bootcamp

Bronze Medallion:
Bronze Medallion introduces the four components of water rescue education: knowledge, judgment, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows, carries, defense and releases to safely perform challenging rescues of conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Participants also develop stroke efficiency and endurance in timed swim.

Bronze Cross:
Build on the skills learned in Bronze Medallion and is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training. Bronze Cross is also a pre-requisite for the National Lifeguard and Lifesaving Instructor awards, as well as for Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.

Taking Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross in a bootcamp format helps to set candidates up for success by ensuring logical progression, instructor continuity and continuous skill development.
Pre requisites: 13+years or Bronze Star
Dates: Wednesdays & Saturdays November 2,5,9,12,16, 19, 23 & 26
Time: Wednesdays, 3:30pm-7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am- 4:00pm

Standard First Aid/ CPR-C
Comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid, CPR and AED use!
Whether you need training for employment or simply want to be prepared to respond to life-threatening emergencies, this course will give you the skills and knowledge to act with confidence. Learn to recognize and treat head and spinal, soft tissue, facial, abdominal, chest, bone and joint injuries, burns and other common medical emergencies.
Standard First is a prerequisite for taking your National Lifeguard.

National Lifeguard Program
Recognized as the standard measure of lifeguarding performance in Canada, NL education is designed to develop a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard.
Pre- requisite: Bronze Cross proof of certification, Standard First Aid/ CPR C proof of certification (current within the last 2 years) current award recommended. Must be the age 16 by the last day of class.
Date: Saturdays & Sundays December 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th & 18th
Time: 9:00am-6:00pm
Cost: $480.00
(Price includes lifeguard toolkit and Alert manual)
Registration requirement: Min 6 registered.

Pool Operator Training Level 1

BC's most recognized Pool Operator Training Course. This course teaches students the most updated content reflected in the new BC Pool Regulations & Guidelines. Course consists of classroom and practical hands-on learning in a two day course.

Synchronized Swimming
Aqua squirts (Fall-only 4 spots available/ Winter 4-spots)
A play-based water orientated program, that helps develop basic skills and sychro skills in a creative and imaginative atmosphere.
Fall: Fridays 3:00pm-3:30pm 
Dates: October 21st - December 16th

Recreational & Competitive Star Program
Required Equipment: Bathing suit, goggles, swim cap, nose clips

Rec/ Pre-competitive ( fall program October 14th - December 23rd) is for swimmers eager to learn the sport of synchronized swimming. This development skills program offers instruction starting with basic skills and moving more advanced techniques as swimmers progress through the levels. Swimmers will learn all fundamental skills, basic figures and their parts, and be introduced to sequences. This will prepare swimmers to enter the competitive program.

Fridays: 3:30pm-4:00pm
Cost: $120 for 10 sessions
Ages: 7-13
Prerequisites: Ability to swim 25m (length of pool), tread water and be comfortable going under water & in deep end.

Competitive for swimmers who want to take their skills and experience tot he next level. This program has a year end Fun Meet in Kelowna with the possibility of 2-3 provincial meets.

Full Program: October 14th- March 17th. (No classes November 11th) Possibility of running into April provincials with one fundraising requirement.
Fridays: 4:00pm-5:30pm (some dry time)
Cost: $390 for 20 sessions

Suited for those with mobility issues this is a safe low impact workout run in shallow and deep water. Enjoy the challenges and rewards of water workouts in the Lap and Leisure Pool.

November 19th from 10:00am-11:00am at the Community Centre

The National Life saving Society is partnering with the Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance Service and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada to put on a mass public CPR training session in BC/Yukon for CPR Month in November. revelstoke has signed up as an affiliate for this mass event and would like you to join us in a one hour basic training. On Saturday November 19th from
10:00am - 11:00am we are hoping to train as many people as possible in compression-only CPR and basic AED use. This basic training can save lives!
