The Engineering & Development Services Department considers the implications of a wide range of social, economic, physical, and environmental issues on the livability of the city. It is responsible for the administration of a wide range of strategic plans, policies, programs, regulations, and bylaws to help ensure a happy, healthy, diverse, resilient, and sustainable community.
The Department is also responsible for planning, Business licence applications
, designing, budgeting, and administering the city’s infrastructure, which includes, but is not limited to, roads, sidewalks, traffic control, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage.
Headed by the Director of Engineering and Development Services, the Department works closely with other City departments and the City Council
to ensure that Revelstoke remains a safe and attractive community for everyone.
