The Property Tax Notices for 2001 have been mailed and are due for
payment by July 3, 2001. If you have not received your tax notice,
please contact City Hall at 837-2161. Failure to receive a property tax
notice does not relieve the owner from payment nor penalty for late
payment. We DO accept post-dated cheques.
If you
are unable to pay your taxes in full before the due date please ensure
you apply for your Home Owner Grant before then. Payments received and
Home Owner Grants applied for after July 3, 2001 are subject to a 10%
penalty on the outstanding balance.
If you
make payment by using the telephone banking services provided by the
Revelstoke Credit Union, Royal Bank, Toronto Dominion, and Bank of Nova
Scotia please allow sufficient time for your payment to be processed
before July 3rd.
If you
are mailing your payment please note that postmarks are NOT accepted as
proof of timely payment.
