 Population Trends
Historically, Revelstoke’s population has been characterized by rapid increases and decreases in concert with mega-project construction in the region particularly during the 1970's and 1980's.  However, in the mid 1990s the number of residents in the community stabilized and decreased slightly towards the turn of the century as shown in Table II which include persons living outside the City of Revelstoke municipal boundary but within the Revelstoke area.   There has been modest population growth during the past two years.
