CITY OF REVELSTOKE

Being a By-Law to Amend Zoning By-Law No. l264, l984.
___________________________________________________________________________
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Revelstoke deem it necessary to amend Zoning By-Law No. l264, l984 to update the By-Law.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
l. THAT Section 4.2 be deleted in its' entirety and the following be
substituted therefore:
"4.2 Non-Conforming Uses
The lawful use of any land, building or structure existing at the time
of the adoption of this By-Law may be continued pursuant to Section 970
of the Municipal Act."
2. THAT Section 5.5(l) and 5.7(3)(a) be amended by deleting the numbers
"907" and substituting therefore, the numbers "l36l".
3. THAT Section l2.l be amended by deleting the body of the section and by
substituting therefore, the following:
This By-Law does not apply with respect to land or a building or
structure existing at the time the By-Law came into force, so long as
the land, building or structure continues to be put to a use that does
not require more parking or loading spaces than were required for the
use existing at the time the By-law came into force.
4. THAT since the amendments are of a general nature and are consistent
with the Official Community Plan the Council hereby waives the holding
of a Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956(4) of the Municipal Act.
5. THAT Section 958(5) of the Municipal Act is hereby invoked.
6. THAT the General Terms and Conditions of this By-Law have been advertised as required by Section 958(2) of the Municipal Act.
7. THAT this By-Law may be cited for all purposes as the City of Revelstoke
Zoning Amendment By-Law No. l372, l989.
