CITY OF REVELSTOKE
BYLAW No. 1757

Being a Bylaw to Authorize the Payment of a Monthly Indemnity to the Mayor and Councillors of the City of Revelstoke

The Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
1. It shall be lawful for the City of Revelstoke to pay an indemnity to the Mayor of the said City out of annual general revenue, effective January 1, 2004 and thereafter, in the sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Three Dollars and Thirty Three Cents ($1,833.33) per month.
2. It shall be lawful for the City of Revelstoke to pay an indemnity to each Councillor of the said City out of annual general revenue, effective January 1, 2004 and thereafter, in the sum of Nine Hundred and Sixteen Dollars and Sixty Six Cents ($916.66) per month.
3. One-third of the indemnities authorized under Sections 1 and 2 of this Bylaw shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of office.
4. That Bylaw No. 1647, 2000 be repealed in its entirety.
5. That this Bylaw shall take effect upon the date of its’ adoption by Council.
6. That this Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "City of Revelstoke Council Indemnity Bylaw No. 1757".
