CITY OF REVELSTOKE
BYLAW No. 1754

Being a Bylaw to Amend Advisory Planning Commission Bylaw No. 1650
___________________________________________________________________
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia, deem it necessary to amend the City of Revelstoke Advisory Planning Commission Establishment Bylaw No. 1650, to provide for an additional two (2) members from outside the City Boundary;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Revelstoke, Province of British Columbia in open meeting assembled enacts as follows:
1. THAT Sections 3 (a) (1), (2) and (3); and Section 3 (b) of the City of Revelstoke Advisory Planning Commission Establishment Bylaw No. 1650 be deleted in its entirety and replaced as follows:
“ 3. The membership of the Commission shall consist of eleven (11) members as follows:
(a) (1) Eleven (11) citizens shall be appointed as voting members of the
Commission by resolution of the Council of the City of Revelstoke. Five (5) appointments shall be for a one (1) year term, four (4) for a two (2) year term and thereafter all such appointments shall be for terms of two (2) years each or until a successor is appointed.
(2) Of the eleven (11) citizens appointed as voting members by Council, nine (9) shall be residents of the City of Revelstoke and two (2) may reside in Area ‘B’ of Columbia Shuswap Regional District.
(3) The Council shall, when appointing the eleven (11) citizen members of the Commission, give consideration to persons with a variety of backgrounds and experience.”
(b) All meetings of the Commission shall consist of a minimum of six (6) members to constitute a quorum.
2. THAT this Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the “City of Revelstoke Advisory Planning Commission Establishment Bylaw No. 1754.
3. THAT this Bylaw shall take effect upon the date of its adoption by Council.
