CITY OF REVELSTOKE
BYLAW NO. 1704
Road Closure Bylaw – Big Bend Highway and Trans Canada Highway Intersection
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 527 of the Local Government Act, Council may, by by-law, close a highway, or a portion of it, to traffic;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Revelstoke, in open meeting assembled hereby enacts as follows:
1. THAT portions of the Big Bend Highway and the Trans Canada Highway adjacent to Lot 1, Plan NEP 19144, Section 34, Township 23, Range 2, West of the 6th Me-ridian, Kootenay District shown as closed road comprising of 0.152 hectares on the Reference Plan prepared by Russell N. Shortt, BCLS and completed on the 7th day of August 2002, attached to the Bylaw as Schedule “A”, is hereby closed to traffic.
2. That public notice of Council’s intention to adopt this Bylaw shall be advertised prior to the adoption thereof.
3. That this Bylaw shall be cited for all purposes as the “City of Revelstoke Road Closure Bylaw No. 1704”.
4. This Bylaw shall take effect upon the date of adoption.
