CITY OF REVELSTOKE

A Bylaw To Authorize The Entering Into Of A Lease Of Real Property From A Crown Corporation _________________________________________________________________
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 452(i)(c) of the Municipal Act, a Council may acquire, for Municipal purposes, by lease real property from a Crown Corporation.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Revelstoke, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
1. The City of Revelstoke is hereby authorized and empowered to lease for its own use and purposes from BC Hydro and Power Authority that parcel of land legally described as follows:
Parcel "A" (Reference Plan 7210) and Parcel "A" (Reference Plan 6828) of Section 23 and Lot "A" of Section 26, Plan 6032, and that part of Legal Subdivision 4 of Section 26 which lies to the South of the right bank of the Illecillewaet River, all in Township 23, Range 2, West of the 6th Meridian, Kootenay District;
2. The City shall pay to BC Hydro and Power Authority the sum of $250.00 per year, plus GST for a period of three years commencing February 15, 1998 and terminating on February 14, 2001.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and seal any and all instruments respecting said lands and the leasing thereof.
4. That the City of Revelstoke Illecillewaet Equestrian Grounds Lease Bylaw #1403, 1981 be repealed in its' entirety.
5. This Bylaw shall come into force and effect upon the date of its adoption.
6. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "City of Revelstoke Illecillewaet Equestrian Grounds Lease Bylaw #1578, 1998".
