CONSOLIDATED FOR CONVENIENCE All persons making use of this consolidated version of City of Revelstoke Bylaw No. 1519 are advised that it has no legislative sanction; that the amendments have been embodied for convenience of reference only and that the original bylaw must be consulted for all purposes of interpreting and applying the law.
Sub sections of the original bylaw and/or amendments which have been repealed have not been included in this consolidation.
CITY OF REVELSTOKE

A bylaw to adopt the City of Revelstoke Official Community Plan Bylaw Number 1519, 1996
___________________________________________________________________
WHEREAS Council wishes to repeal Bylaw Number 1266, 1984 cited as “City of Revelstoke Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1266, 1984” and wishes to adopt a new Official Community Plan pursuant to Part 29, Division 1 of the Municipal Act.
AND WHEREAS Council has examined the plan in conjunction with its most recent capital expenditure program under Section 266 of the Municipal Act, and any waste management plan or economic strategy plan that is applicable to the municipality to ensure consistency between them.
AND WHEREAS Council has referred the plan to the Agricultural Land Commission for comment.
AND WHEREAS Council has referred the plan to the Board of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District for comment.
AND WHEREAS Council has held a Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act.
NOW THEREFORE Council of the City of Revelstoke, in open meeting assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1. This Bylaw shall be cited as the “City of Revelstoke Official Community Plan Bylaw Number 1519, 1996.
2. The following schedules attached hereto are hereby made part of this bylaw and adopted as the Official Community Plan for the City of Revelstoke: Schedule A (Official Community Plan Text) except those sections provided only for information and convenience as noted in Section 1.4 Schedule B (Sub-Area Map) Schedule C (Land Use Map) Schedule D (Environmentally Sensitive and Hazardous Areas) Schedule E (Development Permit and Temporary Commercial and Industrial Permit Areas) Appendix I – Building Design Guidelines
3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Bylaw is for any reason held to be invalid by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalid portion shall be severed and the decision that it is invalid shall not affect the validity of the remainder.
4. Bylaw No. 1266, 1984 cited as the “City of Revelstoke Official Community Plan Bylaw #1266, 1984” and “City of Revelstoke Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaws #1299, #1327, #1329, #1472, #1473, #1481” are hereby repealed.
