Being a By-Law To Reserve Certain Lands Within The City Of Revelstoke As A Park, And For Recreation Purposes Pursuant To The Provisions Of The Municipal Act

WHEREAS The City of Revelstoke is the registered owner of Lot l, District Lot 7, Section 28, Township 23, Range 2, West of the 6th Meridian, Kootenay District, Plan 7544, Except Part Included in Plan NEPl9747, under Title No. XF8385.
AND WHEREAS The Municipal Council is desirous of reserving the said Lot l, District Lot 7, Section 28, Township 23, Range 2, West of the 6th Meridian, Kootenay District, Plan 7544, Except Part Included in Plan NEP l9747, for the purpose of a Park, to be used for the pleasure, recreation and community uses of the public.
AND WHEREAS Pursuant to the provisions of Section 679 of the Municipal Act, the Council is authorized to reserve by By-Law any land owned by the Municipality for a particular municipal or public purpose.
NOW THEREFORE The Council of the City of Revelstoke in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
l. The property owned by the City of Revelstoke under Certificate
of Title No. XF8385 and described as Lot l, District Lot 7,
Section 28, Township 23, Range 2, West of the 6th Meridian,
Kootenay District, Plan 7544, Except Part Included in Plan
NEPl9747 be and is hereby reserved for the purpose of a Park to be used for the pleasure, recreation and community uses of the public.
2. The said property shall hereafter be referred to and known as
Big Eddy Park.
3. That the Big Eddy residents be consulted prior to any amend-
ments being made to this By-Law.
4. That this By-Law may be cited for all purposes as the "City of
Revelstoke Big Eddy Park Reserve By-Law #1453."
5. That this By-Law shall take effect upon the date of its'
adoption by City Council.
