MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS MONDAY, MAY 7,
2007

CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor McKee called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA:
Moved by Councillor MacFarlane, seconded by Councillor Frew that the Agenda be
adopted with the following addition: 3.c) UBCM – Local Government Program
Services.

BUSINESS ITEMS:
1. Financial Plan 2007 – 2011
i. City of Revelstoke Five Year Financial Plan 2007 – 2011 Bylaw No. 1867
Moved by Councillor Frew, seconded by Councillor Richardson that the City of
Revelstoke Five Year Financial Plan 2007 – 2011 Bylaw No. 1867, being a bylaw
for the purpose of adopting the five year financial plan 2007 - 2011, be given
First, Second and Third Readings by Council.

ii. City of Revelstoke Tax Rates Bylaw No. 1868
Moved by Councillor Frew, seconded by Councillor MacFarlane that the City of
Revelstoke Tax Rates Bylaw No. 1868, being a bylaw for the purpose of adopting
the tax rates for the year 2007, be given First, Second and Third Readings by
Council.

iii. City of Revelstoke Water Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 1869
Moved by Councillor Frew, seconded by Councillor MacFarlane that the City of
Revelstoke Water Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 1869, being a bylaw to amend
Bylaw No. 1643, Water Regulation Bylaw, be given First, Second and Third
Readings by Council.

iv. City of Revelstoke Sewer Rates Amendment Bylaw No. 1870
Moved by Councillor Frew, seconded by Councillor Richardson that the City of
Revelstoke Sewer Rates Amendment Bylaw No. 1870, being a bylaw to amend Bylaw
No. 1683, Sewer Rates Bylaw, be given First, Second and Third Readings by
Council.

v. City of Revelstoke Garbage Collection Amendment Bylaw No. 1871
Moved by Councillor Frew, seconded by Councillor Johnston that the City of
Revelstoke Garbage Collection Amendment Bylaw No. 1871, being a bylaw to amend
Bylaw No. 1759, Garbage Collection Bylaw, be given First, Second and Third
Readings by Council.
CARRIED
2. BC Recreation and Parks Association Re: May 10th Move for Health Day
3. UBCM Local Government Program Services – Seniors Housing and Support
Initiative – Pilot Project Approval in Principle
Moved by Councillor Richardson, seconded by Councillor MacFarlane that Council
provide a letter to the UBCM Local Government Program Services for the pilot
project program indicating the City of Revelstoke’s support and participation in
the Seniors Housing and Support Services Initiative Project.

meeting adjourn at 3:45 p.m.
