MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL

BUSINESS ITEMS:

1. Revelstoke Aquatic Centre – Tender T2051 – 02.05 Excavation, Backfill and Compaction

Council reviewed a bid recommendation and updated timeline from Task.

Moved by Councillor MacFarlane, seconded by Councillor Richardson that the Revelstoke Aquatic Centre Tender T2051-02.05 in the amount of $230,150.00 be awarded to Jake and Jay Holdings Ltd.
CARRIED
OPPOSED: Councillour Singh

2. Mackenzie Avenue Railway Crossing

The C.A.O. advised Council that C.P.R. was unwilling to approve the City’s fencing plan until spring, as they cannot determine the impact of a fence at the proposed location with respect to snow removal and drainage.

3. Softwood Lumber

Councillor Singh suggested that Downie Timber be invited to Council to explain the new softwood lumber agreement.
