We are pleased to announce that Sgt. Randy Brown has accepted the position
of Commanding Officer at the Revelstoke RCMP Detachment. Sgt. Brown is
currently posted in Kamloops and will be promoted to Staff Sergeant once
he takes office in May.
I attended the Grizzly
Plaza replanting open house. The Plaza will be in full bloom this year
thanks to the efforts of Darren, Val and Laurel. A very good presentation.
Resolutions regarding the
upgrade of the Trans Canada Highway and Avalanche Safety issues were
submitted to the Okanagan Mainline Municipal Association for consideration
of support from member municipalities during the upcoming 2003 Convention
scheduled for April 29 to May 1 in Penticton, BC.
Mt. Mackenzie discussions
continue to take place. Council recently attended an open house to obtain
an update on the Master Planning process.
The City has received
confirmation from the Judiciary that they will bring circuit court back to
Revelstoke. I understand that court dates are already being scheduled here
for April.
City Council is sitting
this week for budget review.
