At the Monday Council meeting we were pleased to welcome Todd Beernink who
is the new Tourism Coordinator.
As part of the Revelstoke
Recreation report, Council passed a resolution to hold the referendum on
the pool at the same time as the November election. It is important that
each of you prepare yourself to vote at the referendum and the Pool
Committee and Council are committed to providing as much information as
possible.
Council also passed a
resolution to hold a public meeting on health care issues. It is our
intention to have the public assist in providing input that will enable us
to present the provincial government with alternatives to some of the
possible losses in service which are the subject of many rumours in the
community. Please consider attending on February 13th at 7 p.m. at the
Community Centre to provide some positive suggestions about a health care
strategy for Revelstoke.
