The federal government recently announced that September 19, 2022 has been designated a National Day of Mourning, a one-time federal holiday to provide Canadians an opportunity to mourn on the day of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. In light of the federal government’s announcement, the City of Revelstoke will suspend most non-essential services on September 19 and most City facilities will be closed.
