A fun, new public art piece by Sandra Berube of Nelson, BC will enhance the planter box on Mackenzie Avenue, in front of City Hall. The planter box outside of City Hall has been home to a number of great public are pieces. The newly installed Up the Rabbit Hole is sure to get attention.

Up the Rabbit Hole, rendered in brilliant bronze and created by artist Sandra Berube of Nelson, B.C. is cheeky and fun. The Castlegar Sculpture Walk describes this piece as Sandra’s playful take on the jackalope a mythical animal (or is it?) of north American Folklore described as a jack rabbit with antelope horns. A playful take on finally emerging from the pandemic.
