The City of Revelstoke is rescinding the open fire ban at noon Friday August 27, 2021, to coincide with BC Wildfire. Campfires are once again permitted within the Columbia fire zone. Just remember, fires within the city must be contained in a fit pit, have a size of less than 50cm x 50cm, and burn only seasoned dry cordwood.
The following activities remain prohibited:
- Category 2 and 3 open fires
- Use of burn barrels
- Use of sky lanterns
- Use of fireworks, including firecrackers
- Use of binary exploding targets
