[ARCHIVED] September 21, 2018 - City Hires Building Services Manager

The City of Revelstoke is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Gellein, as its’ new Building Services Manager effective October 10, 2018. Dan will fill a new role as a key member of the Development Services Department as both an active building official and be responsible for managing and administering all aspects of the city’s building and sign bylaw, business regulation & licensing and other aspects of city regulations tied to construction oversight in the community.

Mr. Gellein comes to Revelstoke from the Municipality of North Cowichan and has more than 10 years’ experience in the building industry. He is a Level Three Registered Building Official and has a Diploma in Building Technology from BCIT. Mr. Gellein is an experienced professional with several areas of expertise where he works closely with applicants to ensure compliance and a positive working relationship. In addition to his public sector experience, Mr. Gellein has private sector experience in the building trades and as an insurance appraiser dealing primarily with property loss claims.
