The Prime Minister will be attending a Canadian Red Cross Fundraiser for those affected by the BC wildfires and will deliver remarks at 2:45pm. The event will take place at Grizzly Plaza, 111 MacKenzie Avenue. World Renowned Canadian Metis Performer and Red Cross Ambassador Tom Jackson will be performing at the event. Media should arrive no later than 2:15 p.m.

British Columbians are facing massive wildfires that have triggered evacuations in several communities across the province. Fast moving flames have forced thousands of people from their homes. Urgent help is needed for individuals and families evacuated from their communities. In response to an outpouring of concern, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is supporting Red Cross efforts on the ground.
