The City of Revelstoke has lifted the Special Occasion Fire ban in conjunction with the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations on Monday, August 31, 2015, due to the cooler temperatures and wet weather.
The lifted ban only includes Special occasion fires, private property fires as well as campfires and or pit fires.
To avoid Municipal Ticketing of $500.00 for burning contrary to the Bylaw or $1000.00 for the burning of prohibited materials, residents are strongly encouraged to research the City Bylaw.
