The City of Revelstoke is proposing amendments to the City’s “OFF LEASH AREAS” maps. The proposed changes include increasing the overall size of the “OFF LEASH AREAS” and dedicating the greenbelt area from Centennial Park to the new pedestrian bridge as “ON LEASH”. The new aerial view maps make it clear which areas are considered “OFF LEASH AREAS”. The maps are available for viewing at the City Planning Department and on the City website by following the link below. These changes are proposed to help bring the “OFF LEASH AREAS” in balance with community values that include the protection of environmentally significant areas.
The City is looking forward to your input regarding the proposed amendments and welcomes comments until Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Email cfloyd@revelstoke.ca, call (837-3637), or drop by the Planning Department at 216 Mackenzie Avenue.
A public information meeting will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Community Centre.
