National Lifeguard Program
National Life Guard (NL) awards builds on the skills, knowledge and the values that the Lifesaving Society teaches in it's Pre-Bronze and Bronze Medal awards to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards.
Recognized as the standard measure of lifeguard performance in Canada, NL education is designed to develop a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgement, and a mature and responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard.
Pre-requisites: Bronze Cross proof of certification, Standard First Aid/ CPR C proof of certification (current within the last 2 years) current award recommended. Must be the age 16 by the last day off class.

Standard First Aid / CPR C
Comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid, CPR and AED use! Whether you need training for employment or simply want to be prepared to respond to life-threatening emergencies, this course will give you the skills and knowledge to act with confidence. Through practical activities, you will learn to recognize and treat injuries including head and spinal, soft tissue, facial, abdominal and chest, burns bones and joint and other common medical emergencies. This course is a prerequisite for taking your National Lifeguard.

The Water Safety Instructor
Bronze Star is a pre Bronze Medallion program that provides excellent preparation for success in obtaining Bronze Medallion Award. In Bronze Star participants develop problem solving and the decision making skills as they relate to water rescue and first aid.

WSI Part 3 - Classroom & Pool

The Bronze Medallion award teaches and understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education; judgement, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows; carriers; defense and released methods in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk, involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Participants also develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a timed swim.

Bronze Cross builds on the skills learned in Bronze Medallion, building up to high-risk contact rescues. Bronze Cross includes CPR-C certification and is a pre-requisite for the National Lifeguard award.

Synchro Summer Camp
This camp is ideal for those who are very comfortable in the water and new synchronized swimming, as well as experienced synchro swimmers who wish to develop their skills. The camp will provide a fun program focused on introducing and developing synchro skills, swimming ability, flexibility, team work and creativity. There will be a combination of both wet and dry activities in each camp. The camp will also aid in positioning new comers to continue with the sport in the full season program in October.
Need to bring- comfortable stretch cloths, swim suit, towels, nose plug, lunch and snacks.
Camp 1:HALF DAY (9:00am-12:00pm) August 1st-4th (Ages 5-8) Cost: $110

Junior Lifeguard Club (JLC)
JLC is an awesome way for kids ages 7-12 to find out what it takes to be a lifeguard. Participants learn what it takes to be a lifeguard. Participants learn first aid and lifesaving skills through fun drills and games.

Red Cross Swim Sports Teen Camp
Play some water polo, learn the basics of competitive diving or even learn the proper technique for catching a wave on a wave on a surfboard. Red Cross Swim Sports teaches the fundamentals of a wide variety of water sports to keep you active for life.

Suited for those with mobility issues this is a safe low impact workout run in shallow and deep water. Enjoy the challenges and rewards of water workouts in the Lap and Leisure Pool.

This is a high intensity, high energy class. Perfect for your regular exercises and those looking for a challenge.
