Life Saving Programs
Build on the skills learned in Bronze Medallion and is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training. Bronze Cross is also a pre-requisite for the National Lifeguard and Lifesaving Instructor awards, as well as for Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
Pre requisite: Bronze Medallion (must show proof of certification)
Dates: Sundays, April 2nd-30th there will be no class April 16th for Easter.
Time: 2:00pm - 7:30pm
Cost: $155 *Manual is required from Bronze Medallion
Lifesaving Instructor (LSI):
Learn How to teach and evaluate the Lifesaving Society Bronze Medal awards. Candidates will be taught teaching methodology, course planning, class management, safety supervisor and the principles of evaluation. The LSI certification is worth one Grade 11 High School credit.
Pre requisite: Bronze Cross, 16 years old
Dates: Monday- Wednesday, March 20th - 22nd
Time: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Junior Lifeguard Club (JLC) Spring Break Camp
Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard! This fun Spring Break Camp combines swimming, rescue skills, first aid and lifesaving sport into two awesome weeks!
Pre requisite: Ages 8 -12, ability to swim 75m
Date: Tuesday - Friday, March 21st - 31st
Time: 1:00pm- 3:00pm
National Lifeguard Precert & Recert
Pre requisites: Previous NL certification. If previous award is more than 10 years old, please retake a full NL course.
Date: Sunday, March 26th
Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course
The Water Safety Instructor Course prepares candidates to instruct Red Cross Swim programs.
Candidates focus on strategies to introduce and develop fitness activities, skills and water safety, and water skills in the Red Cross Preschool, Red Cross Swim Kids, Red Cross Swim @ School, Red Cross @ Camp, Red Cross Swim for Adults & Teens, and Red Cross Adapted Programs.
Prerequisites: Swim Kids 10 swimming ability, 15 years old by last day of classroom/pool AND Standard First Aid or Bronze Cross.
WSI Skills Evaluation: (includes manual and PIN for WSI Online)
Date: Monday, March 27th
Come familiarize yourself with the WSI certification process, complete your skills evaluation and get set up for WSI Online. Bring your swimsuit.
WSI Teach Experience
Time: Saturday or Tuesday/ Thursday, with existing lessons by appointment, starting with Winter Session #4

First Aid Programs
Standard First Aid/ CPR- C
Comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid, CPR and AED use ! Whether you need training for employment or simply want to be prepared to respond to life-threatening emergencies, this course will give you the skills and knowledge to act with confidence. Learn to recognize and treat head and spinal, soft-tissue, facial, abdominal, chest, bone and joint injuries, burn and other common medical emergencies. Standard First Aid is a prerequisite for taking your National Lifeguard.

Standard First Aid/ CPR-C Recertification
Recertify your Standard First Aid with CPR-C/ AED with this 8 hour course.
Pre requisite: Previous Standard First Aid certification. If it's more than five years from date of issue of previous certification, it's strongly recommended you re-take a full Standard First Aid Course.

Emergency Child Care First Aid
Designed for those working in the child care industry program length and content meets the requirements for Child Care workers as outlined by the Ministry of Health. Certification is valid for 3 years and CPR -B/ AED.

Winter Aqua Squirts
A play based water orientation program, that helps develop basic swimming skills and synchro skills in a creative and imaginative atmosphere.
Fridays: 3:00pm-3:30pm (some dry time)
Dates: January 6th - February 24th
Suited for those with mobility issues this is a safe low impact workout run in shallow and deep water. Enjoy the challenges and rewards of water workouts in the Lap and Leisure Pool.
Tuesdays & Thursday 9:00am-10am
Deep Water Work Out
This is a high intensity, high energy class. Perfect for your regular exercises and those looking for a challenge.
