The Engineering & Development Services Department considers the implications of a wide range of social, economic, physical, and environmental issues on the livability of the city. It is responsible for the administration of a wide range of strategic plans, policies, programs, regulations, and bylaws to help ensure a happy, healthy, diverse, resilient, and sustainable community.
The Department is also responsible for planning, Business licence applications, designing, budgeting, and administering the city’s infrastructure, which includes, but is not limited to, roads, sidewalks, traffic control, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage.
Headed by the Director of Development Services, the Department works closely with other City departments and the City Council to ensure that Revelstoke remains a safe and attractive community for everyone.
City of Revelstoke Cannot Provide Legal Plans to the Public
As per the Land Title Survey Authority (LTSA), the practice of sharing Land Title plans and documents is not permitted. The LTSA has advised that records provided to Local Governments are copies of records available through the Land Title Office and LTSA is authorized to make land title records publicly available only upon payment of the appropriate statutory fee. Local Governments do not have the authority to distribute, sell or provide access to these materials.
